Effective Date: August 16, 2026
At Moving Shipping Containers, we are committed to providing quality shipping containers, trailers, and customized container solutions. This Warranty Policy explains the limited warranty coverage applicable to eligible products and customization work purchased directly from us.
1. Warranty Coverage
Shipping Containers
Eligible new, one-trip, and certified-used shipping containers are covered against material defects and structural defects that were present at the time of delivery, subject to the terms and exclusions outlined in this policy.
Where applicable, the warranty covers the container’s primary structural components and the condition of the unit as represented at the time of sale.
Used containers may show normal signs of previous use, including dents, scratches, surface rust, paint wear, and other cosmetic imperfections. These conditions do not necessarily constitute warranty defects.
Customized and Modified Containers
Customization and modification work performed by Moving Shipping Containers may be covered against defects in workmanship for the applicable warranty period.
Depending on the product and agreed specifications, customization may include items such as:
- Insulation
- Interior flooring
- Electrical installations
- Doors and windows
- Interior partitions
- Roll-up doors
- Structural modifications
- Other professionally installed modifications
Warranty coverage applies only to the work performed by Moving Shipping Containers and does not extend to modifications, repairs, or alterations performed by third parties.
2. Warranty Period
Containers
Unless a different warranty period is specifically stated on the product listing, quotation, invoice, or purchase agreement, eligible new, one-trip, and certified-used containers are covered by a 12-month limited warranty beginning on the date of delivery.
Customization and Modification Work
Customization and modification work is covered by a 6-month limited workmanship warranty, beginning on the date the applicable modification work is completed.
Certain components or equipment installed as part of a customized unit may be covered separately by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Where applicable, the manufacturer’s warranty terms will apply.
3. What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover damage, defects, or deterioration resulting from:
- Normal wear and tear from ordinary use
- Minor dents, scratches, paint fading, or cosmetic imperfections
- Surface rust or corrosion resulting from normal environmental exposure
- Improper use, misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Overloading or improper loading of the container
- Failure to properly maintain doors, hinges, seals, or other components
- Improper installation, positioning, foundation, or site preparation
- Damage caused during relocation or transportation after delivery
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, alterations, or installations
- Modifications performed by third parties
- Accidents, vandalism, fire, flooding, lightning, severe weather, natural disasters, or other events outside our reasonable control
- Damage caused by improper electrical connections or electrical service supplied by the customer
- Equipment or components subject to a separate manufacturer’s warranty
- Any condition specifically disclosed to and accepted by the customer before purchase
For used containers, normal signs of previous use and age are not considered warranty defects unless otherwise stated in writing at the time of purchase.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, customers are responsible for:
- Providing a suitable and properly prepared installation location
- Ensuring the container is placed on an appropriate foundation or support system
- Using the container within its intended purpose and rated capacity
- Maintaining doors, hinges, seals, and other moving components
- Protecting the container from avoidable damage and excessive environmental exposure
- Using qualified professionals for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, or other site-specific installations when required
- Obtaining any permits, approvals, or inspections required by the customer’s local jurisdiction
Failure to properly maintain or install the container may affect warranty coverage.
5. Warranty Claim Procedure
If you believe your container or customization work has a defect covered by this Warranty Policy, please contact our customer service team as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide:
- Your name and contact information
- Order or invoice number
- Date of purchase and delivery
- Description of the issue
- Clear photographs or videos showing the problem
- Any other information reasonably requested by our team
Warranty Claims:

Our team will review the information provided and may request additional photographs, videos, documentation, or an inspection of the unit before determining whether the issue is covered.
6. Warranty Resolution
If a claim is determined to be covered under this Warranty Policy, Moving Shipping Containers will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the issue and the circumstances of the claim.
Depending on the situation, the remedy may include:
- Repairing the affected component or area
- Replacing a defective component
- Arranging an appropriate service remedy
- Replacing the container where a covered defect cannot reasonably be repaired
The specific remedy will depend on the nature and severity of the verified warranty issue, availability of replacement parts or equipment, and the applicable warranty terms.
A warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a full refund or replacement of the entire unit.
7. Manufacturer Warranties
Certain equipment and components supplied with our containers or trailers may be covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranties.
Where a manufacturer warranty applies, Moving Shipping Containers may assist the customer with initiating a claim; however, the manufacturer’s warranty terms, coverage, exclusions, and procedures will govern that component.
8. Transfer of Warranty
Unless otherwise stated in writing, this limited warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not automatically transferable to subsequent owners or purchasers.
9. Limitation of Warranty
This Warranty Policy provides limited coverage only for qualifying defects described above. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Moving Shipping Containers does not provide warranties beyond those expressly stated in this policy.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
