This open top shipping container is designed for bulk cargo that requires crane or overhead lifting for loading. The container includes both top loading and door loading capabilities.
The container is loaded through the top opening using a crane or other top loading machinery. After loading, attachable roof bows are placed over the top of the container. A TIR approved PVC tarpaulin with heavy duty eyelets is secured over the bows and container body. The tarpaulin is lashed to lashing rings in the floor or bottom side rail to create a wind and water resistant seal.
The roof opening is smaller than the container’s internal dimensions due to the top side rails, which support the roof bows and stubs.
The container can be stacked like standard general purpose containers. A hard top roof option is available for customers requiring additional protection.
The flooring is available in hardwood or plywood. Heavy duty lashing rings are located in the floor and bottom side rail for securing cargo.
